Permanent Christmas lights
Permanent Christmas Lights, Up for Good
JellyFish permanent lights tucked under the eaves, ready every December at the tap of an app. No ladder, no tangled strands, nothing to take down in January. Professionally installed by a roofing team.
Hang the Christmas lights once. Not every December.
No ladder in the cold, no dead strands, no boxes back to the attic.
Why permanent
Christmas lights without the ladder
Every year the same job comes around: untangle the strands, find the dead bulbs, climb the ladder in the cold, then do it all again in reverse after New Year.
Permanent lights end that. The track goes along the roofline once, color-matched to your trim, and stays there. When December comes, you pick a scene in the app, or it switches on by itself on the date you set.
And because every light is individually controllable, the display can do far more than a string of bulbs: chase, fade and twinkle in any color you choose.
- Roofline lights behind a UV-resistant acrylic lens, so colors stay true year after year
- Silicone-filled casings rated IP67 against water and weather
- A redundant data wire, so one light out does not stop the run
- Lights and controllers UL and ETL listed

The rest of the year
The same lights for every holiday after this one
Christmas is where most people start. After New Year the same lights are ready for Valentine’s, St. Patrick’s, the 4th of July, Halloween and game days, then back to warm white every other night.
4th of July
Red, white and blue
Flag colors from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Every other night
Warm white accent light
Between holidays the same lights run as warm white along the eaves, or switch off.
See every holiday on one page: permanent holiday lighting.
How it works
Four steps from consultation to control
You book the consultation
Free, and with no obligation. We look at the house and talk through the displays you want and when.
We design the layout
Track runs are planned to the rooflines, patio lights placed over the spaces you use, and zones set so the front, the back and the patio can each run their own display.
We install it
Factory-trained installers, with roofline track color-matched to your trim and tucked under the eaves.
We set up your scenes
Before we leave we walk you through the app, save your first holiday scenes and put them on the calendar.
JellyFish Music Box
Lights that move to the music
The Music Box listens to whatever is playing and moves your JellyFish lights to the beat, on the roofline, over the patio and across the yard. It is an add-on for any JellyFish lighting system.
Built-in microphone
Set it near the music. The quickest way to get started.
Smart speaker
Plug it into an Alexa or Google Home speaker and group them.
Any audio source
Connect it straight to the sound system you already have.
In the app’s Music tab, pick a movement, then tune each frequency, the speed, the pattern and the colors. Made for parties, patios, holidays and your own light shows.
The JellyFish ecosystem
One app for every light around your home
JellyFish is permanent outdoor lighting you run from your phone. It covers the roofline, the yard, the patio and the clean lines of a modern home, and you can choose any one of them or combine several. Every piece shares the same app, colors, scenes and schedules. We install the complete JellyFish line.
The signature look

- Zones so the front and back of the house can do different things
- Backed by a 25-year warranty
Across the property
Landscape lighting
Pathway lights, cylinder lights for beds and spotlights for trees, in warm white or any color, on their own or matched to the rest of the house.
Patio lighting
Overhead lights in three sizes for pergolas, covered patios and porches, bright for a meal or low for a late evening.
Saber Series
A continuous, diffused line of light for modern homes and storefronts: roofline outlines, wall-washing and backlighting, sealed in solid silicone and rated IP68.
Music Box
An add-on that moves your lights to the beat, listening through its own microphone, a smart speaker or any audio source.
Easy to run, and yours to customize
The JellyFish app runs the roofline, yard, patio and music from one place. Everyday jobs take a tap or two, and there is as much depth as you want when you feel like designing.
- Dozens of preset scenes, or build and save your own
- Schedules by the day or the calendar, including sunset to sunrise
- Zones for the front, the back, the yard and the patio
- Brightness, color and movement set light by light
- Music mode tuned by frequency, speed, pattern and color
- Control it from anywhere, not just at home
Smart home hubs are optional, never required
The JellyFish controller connects to your home Wi-Fi, and the app does the rest. If you already use Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Control4 or Nice-Elan, JellyFish works with them, including voice control, but it never depends on them.

Installed by roofers
Why a roofing team installs your roofline lighting
Permanent lights are only as good as the roof edge they are fastened to. Next Day Roofing and Gutter Solutions is a GAF Certified roofing contractor with over a century of combined roofing experience, so the team installing your lights knows that edge better than anyone.
We work on the roof edge every day
Roofline lights mount along the fascia, tucked under the eaves: the same edge our crews flash, fit gutters to and repair every day. The track goes on straight and secure, without disturbing the shingles.
The edge is checked before the track goes on
Because we are roofers, we look at what the lights will be fastened to. If the fascia, soffit or gutters need attention, you hear it at the free consultation, before anything is installed.
At home on steep and two-story rooflines
Ladders, steep pitches and second-story eaves are everyday work for a roofing crew. Our lighting installers are factory trained and work alongside the team that installs roofs.
One team for the roof, gutters and lights
Planning a new roof or gutter guards too? The lighting is planned around them, so it goes on once and lines up with the finished edge. One free visit can cover all three.

Common questions
Permanent Christmas light questions
Are permanent Christmas lights worth it?
For most homes that decorate every year, yes. They go up once and stay up, so there is no ladder every November and nothing to take down in January, and the same lights then do every other holiday and warm accent light the rest of the year.
Can you see the lights when they are off?
Very little. The roofline track is color-matched to your trim and tucked under the eaves, so from the street it reads as part of the house.
Can I still have classic white Christmas lights?
Yes. Warm white is one of the 16 million colors, and you can add a soft twinkle so it looks like traditional bulbs.
Can the lights come on by themselves for Christmas?
Yes. Calendar events in the app switch your Christmas scene on for the dates you choose and hand back to your everyday lighting when they end.
Can they play music for a Christmas light show?
Yes, with the JellyFish Music Box. It makes the lights react to music from its built-in microphone, a smart speaker or any audio source.
When should I book to have lights up for Christmas?
As early in the fall as you can. The design consultation is free, and installs are scheduled in the order they are booked.
Do you install the rest of the JellyFish line?
Yes. We install the complete JellyFish line: roofline lighting, landscape lights (pathway, cylinder and spotlight), patio lights, the Saber Series and the Music Box. Choose one or combine several, all run from the same app, and we plan them at the free consultation.
