Four decades of subdivisions, four different roofs
Drive through Union Township and the rooflines change every few streets. The oldest ranches and split-levels date from the 1970s, and many have already had one replacement, sometimes laid right over the original shingles. Homes from the late 1980s and 1990s are frequently on their first or second roof, with vents that were never sized for the attic behind them.
The newer two-story homes near the edges of the township bring a separate set of concerns.
